On behalf of Rho Xi Omega (PEΩ) Chapter, welcome to our website! We appreciate your interest in our chapter and the programs of Alpha kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Rho Xi Omega Chapter chartered in 1988 is one of sixteen chapters in Cluster 1 of the North Atlantic Region of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Comprised of a multigenerational group of professional woman with diverse skills and talents, PEΩ has grown to become a noted chapter in the Baltimore Metropolitan area.
Through our programs, chapter members have financially supported youth in their academic pursuits, provided resources to underprivileged women and men, coordinated summer computer camps, mentored middle school girls, served at soup kitchens, and partnered with numerous non-profits and local organizations. Under the leadership of Constance R. Pizarro, North Atlantic Regional Director, and International President, Carolyn Harris Stewart, Esq., Rho Xi Omega is inspired and committed to creating and implementing programs of service.
The chapter's service initiatives are centered on our National Signature Program "Global Leadership through Timeless Service". Components of the program include:
1. Emerging Young Leaders (EYL)
2. Health Initiatives
a. Asthma Prevention and Management Initiative
b. Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability
3. Global Poverty
4. Economic Security
5. Social Justice and Human Rights Initiative
6. Internal Leadership Training through External Service Initiative
